What is GHC?
Part 1
GHC or Grace Hopper Celebration for Women in Computing is one of the largest gatherings of women in computing. It is organized by AnitaB.org and presented in partnership with ACM.
In 1994, inspired by the legacy of Navy Rear Admiral Grace Murray Hopper, Dr. Anita Borg (1949–2003) co-founded the Grace Hopper Celebration (GHC) with Dr. Telle Whitney. Their aim was to create a ground for women with research or career interests related to computing, where they can find opportunities and connect with each other.
Grace Hopper Celebrations held so far(1994–2019), are listed in the table below.
If you are a woman,
- looking for an internship or full-time job, or
- seeking to study a master/Ph.D. in a top research university in the USA, or
- thriving to know more about some top tier technologies from industry experts, or
